By car

Clifton Hill House (BS8 1BX) offers a small number of free parking spaces, on a first-come-first-serve basis. The car park can be found at the back of the building, on the right-hand side. Rodney Hotel (BS8 4HY) has a small number of parking spaces available, allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis, for £6.50 per night. It is free to park on the surrounding streets, however, it can be very difficult to find parking spaces in Clifton. For this reason, we would recommend taking public transport to the conference.

Public transport

By Air

Fly to Bristol Airport. From there, a taxi will cost £20 with this company: http://v-cars.com/airportTransfers.php.

By Train

Take the train to Bristol Temple Meads train station. From there, you may travel to the venue by taxi or bus.

- Train - Taxi

From Bristol Temple Meads, take a taxi to Clifton Hill House, Lower Clifton Hill. This taxi journey should cost somewhere between £7 and £10 in a black cab, dependent on traffic and taxi driver (but we cannot guarantee they won't charge more!).

- Train - Bus

As you leave Bristol Temple Meads, look for the local bus stop on the right hand side (there should be a sign which reads, 'LOCAL BUS STOP Ta Tb'). From here, take bus No. 8 towards Centre/Clifton/Redland and get off at Victoria Square in Clifton, next to the Victoria Square Hotel. Just before this stop, you will pass the University of Bristol Student Union building on your left. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach Victoria Square, if you are not sure where to get off. Do not take the No. 9 instead - this will add half an hour to your journey.

From the Victoria Square bus stop, follow the walking directions on this map, where A = Victoria Square bus stop and B = Clifton Hill House:

By Coach

Take the coach to Bristol Bus & Coach Station. From there, a taxi will cost approximately £5-6, dependent on traffic and taxi driver (but, again, we cannot guarantee they won't charge more!).

If you wish to walk from the coach station, it should take you 20-25 minutes.
